Which toe goes 1st?
You have pain in your toes and you decide to make an appointment, but what is the best way to describe which one is painful? Does your big toe hurt? That’s number 1! The toes are labeled 1-5. The big toe is always 1 and we refer to it as the “Hallux.” The rest of the toes, are labeled 2-5 with the 5th being the pinky toe.
Some of the common problems with toes that Dr. Gale treats are hammertoes, calluses, corns, ingrown toe nails, and fungal nails. You may also have toe pain from shoes not fitting correctly. Don’t let your toe pain prevent you from enjoying your daily activities.
