Symptoms of Psoriasis and at Home Treatment

Symptoms of Psoriasis and at Home Treatment.

Symptoms are usually the same with all people that are affected with Psoriasis.  One symptom is thick, red skin that includes dry, white patches.  The dry, white patches are called psoriatic plaques.  Another symptom is the skin may feel itchy.

Psoriasis is most commonly found on the knees, elbows, and the bottoms of the feet.  It can also affect joints, fingernails, and toenails.

To treat Psoriasis at home it is best to keep the skin well moisturized.  This will help ease any discomfort from the itchy skin.  Oatmeal baths can also help soothe the skin.

If you are experiencing itchy skin that has dry patches and you think it might be Psoriasis, Contact Us at Our Bismarck Office today to schedule an appointment.  Dr. Brian Gale, DPM, FACFAS will help you determine the best way to help treat your symptoms.
